Parenting Support (Calgary, Alberta)
"My 8-year-old son was struggling with emotional regulation in school, getting very upset and disrupting the class regularly. I felt like I had reached the end of my capacity and knowledge to support him and his school wasn’t doing much to help. Claire immediately made me feel seen and heard. She acknowledged my stress and guilt, she uncovered my strengths as a parent, and then she walked me through some different ways that I could move forward. Her reassurance and knowledge around child development and emotional regulation, her experience as a parent and professional navigating school systems, as well as her kind, calm, and encouraging manner helped me move forward with confidence."
Compassion Fatigue Workshop (Director, Non-Profit Agency, Calgary, Alberta)
"I asked Claire to facilitate a workshop on Compassion Fatigue for a diverse staff team that had a tough year yet who persevered and gave their all to clients. I could see the fatigue on their faces! Claire listened to what I needed, provided suggestions and fine-tuned the workshop to best meet their needs. She was very well prepared, but what really helped the team was her engaging and non-judgemental approach. The staff opened up to her immediately and did not hesitate to dive into the experiential strategies she offered. The benefit of having Claire present was that even 8 months later we had a common language that we all used and could come together as a team when we hit a tough time."
Teens & ADHD (Calgary, Alberta)
"My daughter has ADHD and at times her anxiety is through the roof. Claire has provided her with solid advice that has helped calm herself during these times. Claire is calm, patient, understanding and is always there to listen and to support both of us. She puts things back into perspective so that you don’t feel alone. Claire truly operates from her heart and once you meet her you feel that immediately."
Separation & Blended Family (Calgary, Alberta)
"After 15 years together, my partner and I separated in what was a very difficult time full of a lot of hurt and uncertainty. Claire’s calm approach to listening, giving me time to share my story, and helping me to process all of the emotions I was having was exactly what I needed. I had friends and family who loved me, but what I really needed was someone outside of my circle to hear me and to help me figure out how to deal with all of my emotions. A few years later, Claire was there again as I began a blended family with my new partner. With so many new emotions, people to consider, and lots of my own feelings to still work through, Claire provided a calm and reassuring perspective to me and my family."
